To the outside of the cottage is ample off road parking and an enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture. Located in stunning countryside, Dove Cottage is a wonderful base for a great holiday. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. The small rural village of Milton is ideally placed for exploring northern Cumbria, including not-to-be-missed Hadrian's Wall, and the dramatic northern Lake District National Park. The market town of Brampton has a rich and colourful history going back to the Roman occupation. Bonnie Prince Charlie established his headquarters in one of the old buildings in Brampton, which is now a shop.
