Stoney Beck is a lovely detached cottage situated in the village of Murton just four miles from Appleby-in-Westmorland in Cumbria. The cottage can sleep seven people in one super king-size bedroom with en-suite shower, one double, one twin and one single together with family bathroom and separate ground floor cloakroom. Also in the cottage is a kitchen with dining are and a sitting room. Outside is off road parking for two cars and a front and rear lawned garden with furniture. Stoney Beck is a delightful cottage from which to explore the whole of the Lake District. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

The historic town of Appleby-in-Westmorland lies in a loop of the River Eden and is overlooked by the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the Lake District Fells showing on the western horizon. Set at the heart of the lush Eden Valley and steeped in history, this is one of the loveliest towns in the north of England and was originally the county town of Westmorland. Appleby is nestled between the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales, so guests can enjoy the contrasting scenery of these two National Parks, plus numerous walking and cycling opportunities as well as the fantastic leisure centre in the town. Appleby has a wonderful selection of quality independent shops, cafes and dlicatessens selling locally produced food and crafts. The picturesque street of Boroughgate, with some interesting old buildings, is at the heart of the town and links the well-preserved Norman Castle with the fine medieval Church of St. Lawrence.
