Froghall lies in the beautiful wooded slopes of the Churnet Valley, in the Staffordshire Moorlands and on the southern fringe of the Peak District. The hamlet has a pub, which serves food, and the nearby hamlet of Foxt also has a pub serving good food, whilst the nearby village of Ipstones has a village shop/Post Office and two pubs.
